Allan Kardec faleceu em 1869. O texto original em francês está em domínio público.
As traduções de Guillon Ribeiro, falecido em 26 de outubro de 1943, estão em domínio público no Brasil desde 1º de janeiro de 2014, pela Lei nº 9.610/1998, art. 41.
A tradução de Manuel Quintão está em domínio público no Brasil desde 1º de janeiro de 2026, pela mesma lei, arts. 41 e 45.
Não temos direitos de autor sobre o texto de Kardec nem sobre essas traduções. A edição digital é para estudo. Não é a edição impressa de nenhuma editora, e não é preciso pedir autorização para ler, copiar ou compartilhar esse texto em particular.
A interface, a ordem das páginas e o que cada pessoa escreve por cima do livro não são o texto de Kardec.
Privacidade
Os sites estão no GitHub Pages. Favoritos, grifos e anotações ficam no aparelho, ou no arquivo que a própria pessoa guarda no Google Drive dela. Não ficam num servidor nosso. Anotações públicas, se o leitor as ligar, ficam na Hypothes.is. Comentários públicos ficam na Hyvor Talk, na conta de quem comenta.

Allan Kardec died in 1869. The original French text is in the public domain.
Guillon Ribeiro’s translations, their author having died on 26 October 1943, have been in the public domain in Brazil since 1 January 2014, under Law 9.610/1998, article 41.
Manuel Quintão’s translation has been in the public domain in Brazil since 1 January 2026, under the same law, articles 41 and 45.
We hold no copyright in Kardec’s text or in these translations. The digital edition is for study. It is not a publisher’s printed edition, and no permission is required to read, copy, or share that text for private use.
The interface, the order of the pages, and what a reader writes over the book are not Kardec’s text.
Privacy
The sites are hosted on GitHub Pages. Favorites, highlights, and notes stay on the device, or in a file the reader keeps in their own Google Drive. They are not stored on a server of ours. Public annotations, if the reader turns them on, stay with Hypothes.is. Public comments stay on Hyvor Talk, under the commenter’s account.
